Are you using a cable decoder box now? If so, what kind of output connectors does it use... modulated RF (output on Channel 3 o4 4), composite, s-video?

If you are using a modulated RF, and your box has a composite or s-video signal output, I would suggest buying a cable and hooking up with the highest quality output. S-video will be better than composite, with composite better than modulated RF. These improvements will be marginally better.

If you are not using a cable box, you might get slightly better results using an external tuner, and feeding the tuner output into a line doubler. This will give you slightly better performance. I don't really suggest this... as the results for the $'s you are likely to spend will be dissapointing.

If you really want a better picture, I suggest trying an antenna to receive local HDTV signals. Even if your Home Owner Assoc. says you can't have an external antenna, see the following site:
