I have itunes loaded on my XP system. I ripped all my CDs and it saved it in MP3 format. I have not even touched an ipod so there may be some gotchas here, but I would assume that if you have all your songs on the ipod, you should be able to connect up to a system running XP (via usb port maybe, like I say I have not touched an ipod) with Itunes loaded on it and sync between the ipod and the system.
