Thanks for the responses. Ernie you helped me figure out what I was doing wrong! I don't know about others but to me the manual is not very detailed or clear about configuring components via the menu. ANYWAY I had the video input assigned to Cbl/Sat when it should have been DVD. I guess I thought this would be performed automatically. Whatever, now it works beautifully, and wow what great picture and sound! Thanks too for the tip about the audio connection. Right now I'm using the red and white cables for audio but I do plan on getting a coaxial for digital audio. I was unaware that you could have both types of connections at the same time. This forum is a great rescource. Thanks again for your help.
