This has been a problem for many TV/DVDp combinations when an HDMI to DVI convertor is used. I haven't seen solutions other than manually reseting the TV, ie: turn off and on again, using component video, or simply using different equipment that matches better. It's an unfortunate situation for early adopters who have purchased DVI TVs that are semi-outdated by the new HDMI world.
