I've been happy with my Sharp XV-Z12000U with my 100" Stewart Firehawk. I do use the IRIS to drop the light output, and use the low power mode to reduce fan noise. With it set up this way, the black levels are very good.

The street price on this projector is well below the 9K you've budgeted. In my opinion, you won't see much more performance out of the other projectors for the money, unless you want to deal with larger screen sizes.
