None of this has anything to do with imported bitmaps.

One of the fonts (the 4 keyboards that can be cycled through on the "Button Properties Tab" includes symbols for "Play" "rec" Pause" "FFWD" etc.
This font is not loaded with touchscree.
Not to worry as i have now re-installed RC5000 set-up and the fonts are packaged with that.
