Hi all. Newbie here and havin trouble with eploying a Panasonic TV Power On in a macro.
The Learned IR code works fine on the button but when used in a macro its too short.
To get round this it has been suggested that the code is extended. The RC5000 setup ver 2.3.1 that i am using does not allow this.
Is there an alternative app that can be used, or a newer version of the software.
Please see "longer codes in macros" thread that i posted yesterday for more enthralling details.
All help welcome

RC5000 Setup is ancient. You should be using Touch Screen Setup.
There is also an alternative program called Tonto.

Thats Fantastic. Touch Scren Setup looks much better suited to sorting out the problem.
However....
The version that I've downloaded from here hasn't got the type face for all of the Transport Icon etc.!?!
Where are they please?

Not sure what you're referring to. What transport icons? Many of the icons in the files area (Daniel's for instance) have label "built in" as a part of the icon. To change these you'd need to use a graphics program.

None of this has anything to do with imported bitmaps.
One of the fonts (the 4 keyboards that can be cycled through on the "Button Properties Tab" includes symbols for "Play" "rec" Pause" "FFWD" etc. This font is not loaded with touchscree. Not to worry as i have now re-installed RC5000 set-up and the fonts are packaged with that.

Strange, I have the 4 different "keyboards". When you installed TSS, did you reboot the computer? This is often necessary prior to starting the program, even though you're not prompted to do so. You could also try Tonto, available here: [Link: giantlaser.com]. It has some advantages over Pronto Edit or TouchScreenSetup.

You need to reboot afer you install the software to see the fonts.

hmmmm. Actually no you werent. As soon as RC5000 setup was uninstalled the Fonts reverted back to something other than what was expected. A minor problem as I just have to Keep the second app installed on the PC.
Also an entirely different solution has been stumbled on.
Reapeating the "1" (or any other number for that matter) from the TV Remote Keypad switches the TV on just fine and dandy. And not only that, leaves it in a known state, as it works as a discreet Power On unlike the Power Bitton itself.

If you uniinstalled TC5000 Setup after you installed TSS then the fonts will be removed by removing RC5000Setup.
You MUST install TSS AFTER removing RC5000Setup.
