I bought an original Pronto (well, RU890) five years ago and it's been one of the best purchases I've ever made. At that time I also got one for my parents and created a task-based program for them so they'd quit calling me asking what buttons to push to operate their home theater. Over the years I've kept the programs on both Prontos updated with new devices, new graphics, tabs, etc. I recently purchased my first home and now have stuff I need to control both upstairs and downstairs. I created a new Pronto program that first asks "Where are you?" and then takes you to the appropriate macros and devices. But now I think I'd like to just get an additional Pronto for downstairs, and also maybe a spare or two, just in case. I've been looking at the features of the new generation of Pronto (TSU3000 & TSU7000) and decided that extra shades of gray, or 65,000 colors, and the extra memory just aren't incentive enough for me to spring for the extra cost. Sure they look neato, but the batteries wear down quicker and I'd have to learn a new editing program (since I use Tonto on Linux, which doesn't support the new Prontos). The old Pronto does everything I need.

Does anyone here have a suggestion for where to buy an old Pronto (TSU1000 or 2000, or their European counterparts)? I wonder if anyone in the NG group has a non-NG Pronto sitting around collecting dust? Should I post there?

Dave
