It's 12.52pm, and Telewest haven't called yet - I guess they have 8 minutes left if they aren't to be late ;-)

I'll try the STB (when it comes) to see if it accepts RC5. If it does then will any IR extender system (via co-ax) do the job - or do I need the Redeye.

I'm confused as I thought Redeye was there to translate RC5 into IRDA that it then fires into the STB IR pick-up window. If the STB they give me accepts RC5 won't an ordinary IR extender set-up do the trick?
