Hi,

Newbie here. Telewest (TV+ Broadband) is being fitted on Monday. I guess they will give me a Pace 4000T STB.

I am having this fitted in a remote AV/Comms cabinet and want to be able to control the STB from 3 rooms that are wired back to the remote cabinet with RG6.

I have read alot of the threads here and am confused.

Should I just get a IR extender system like a TRIAX-link extender kit? This assumes I can get the STB I am supplied with to accept non IRDA codes.

Alternatively, I don't think the redeye will help me because the STB will not be in a room where I will watch the TV. From what I read you need to point a Pronto or other remote at the redeye attached to the STB. I can't do this!

Can anyone suggest what to do?
