RichBournemouth... I had exactly the same problem
with my Di4000-N (NTL) using the RC5 codes...
I would occasionally get a black screen (with
sound if I remember correctly???) but I could
get the 'now & next bar' to work..?

I bought one of the first units direct from Mike
because the (un)reliability of the RC5 was driving
me mad..!

Just buy the Red-Eye..! It's a bargain
