can anyone here help me interpret the auto search instructions for this remote?
this doesnt make sense to me:

summary of quick search instructions : hold set & tv button. release & press set again& release to start search mode.led will flash. hold down power button & point towards set.

how will remote know that tv turned off? how does user indicate this to remote?

summary of auto search: hold set key & press power for more than 3 seconds.auto search will begin.press any key to exit.

so how would i tell remote to keep the current setting, by pressing any key?has anybody tried this? how long should a full scan take?

it would be simpler if they just wrote in chinese . then i could ask the manager at the local chinese tavern what it meant.
