A mere charger is a different situation, since all you're
looking for is power and USB does provide power (although
I'm surprised that it'd be exactly what the PSP is looking
for).

Orlando: it sounds like whatever PS2 to USB adapter you
have the PS3 doesn't like at all. What is it? And are
you running the latest firmware?

Daniel,

I’m running what I think is the latest firmware 1.51.

The cable I am using is a Dilong Pu120T. I bought it on EBay against my better judgment as I usually don’t like buying from there. Especially stuff like this when you never know what you are getting. Of course when you ask they say it should work. When it doesn’t, you get it wasn’t designed to. Now I’m out 10 bucks for nothing and it is not worth the trouble making an issue of it with them. The cable does have a little PC card in it as to make it look like a Hub to windows. And I was just thinking it was a cable cross that was causing the PS3 control lockup.
