You can use Womble's MPEG Video Wizard (
[Link: videohelp.com]) to do exactly what you need. The only thing is you might need their DVD version (haven't used it so can't help there) to take everything back to a DVD.
What I typically do is move only the VOB files over to my PC. I load the VOB files and edit as needed. I then output the project as a DVD-compliant MPEG2 file without recompression (keeps the original quality as the original). I then load the MPEG2 file into my DVD authoring program to create a DVD that suits my needs.
