I have the ccp file for nvidia shield IR codes. You just need an IR to usb receiver available on amazon for $13. I can give you the model number later, if ou are interested. If you want just IR codes, buy the Inset model INT-422-3 and it can be easily programed with preset codes for shield and firetv
if you want the ccp file, you can PM your email address.
Btw, the FLIRC was useless. There was no easy way to avoid "double press" issue.
