When Tom says he doesn't have a display, he's including the customer's TV.

The combination of components that I have did not properly output either the video signal or the audio signal when it "thought" I wanted deep color on. Setting up the system properly, indeed setting it up AT ALL, required a video display to prove that it was set up correctly. (When the deep color problem occurred, the receiver's front panel display gave no indication that anything was amiss.)
