You have not told us anything about the software/remote you are using.
Having typo's doesn't help.
"proto tsu 600" - Is this the Classic Pronto TSU6000 or the TSU9600? "RC2000" - RC was a Marantz and I remember the 5000/5000i/5200/9200/9000i. There was a Philips TSU2000 though.
What remote and what software ProntoEdit Professional v2.X or v3.X (PEP is the acronym)? You mentioned sounds above which is only available on the TSU9600. The lesser models just beep.
I noticed somewhere else that you were wanting some documentation. I know that PEP2 at one time had a good help file for general topics. PEP1 has one but some of the topics are out of date as PEP2 forces you to use 'My Database'.
