I'm pretty new to the proto tsu 600 software but I have some decent experience with the older pronto RC2000 stuff.

I have a home screen with buttons like "play dvd' 'watch live tv" etc.
These were made by 'add button". Then set its name, then I click the action tab, and add the appropriate IR code to pick that HDMI in on my avr.

Next, I want it to jump that devices page which has those devices buttons on it.

it will only do one of my two actions. It will only send the IR code and ignore everything after it. (iv tried adding sounds etc, delays, jumps etc)

If I remove the IR code, it will do everything else I asked it to do in order.

But if I add the iR code anyplace in that list, only the IR code gets sent, and all other commands for the button are ignored.

What am I doing wrong?

I don't have much hair left to pull out. Thanks.

Welcome on board.
You can add multiple actions to a button.

You have not told us anything about the software/remote you are using.

Having typo's doesn't help.

"proto tsu 600" - Is this the Classic Pronto TSU6000 or the TSU9600?
"RC2000" - RC was a Marantz and I remember the 5000/5000i/5200/9200/9000i. There was a Philips TSU2000 though.

What remote and what software ProntoEdit Professional v2.X or v3.X (PEP is the acronym)?
You mentioned sounds above which is only available on the TSU9600. The lesser models just beep.

I noticed somewhere else that you were wanting some documentation. I know that PEP2 at one time had a good help file for general topics. PEP1 has one but some of the topics are out of date as PEP2 forces you to use 'My Database'.

Email me your current file (see my email address on my RC profile) and I will throw in the Jumps for you try and provide pointers.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry for the typos.

This is a TSU 9600.
PEP v2.

perhaps I should upgrade to 3? The 'my database" feature is way more trouble than it's worth.

the keyboard on this laptop sucks.

Don't go to PEP3 unless you need the Page Overlay function. With a bit more research you would have seen that PEP3 was only ever released as BETA and may have memory leaks under certain conditions.

Stay with PEP2, you will be happier.

Did you send me your config as asked?

Thanks

ok, so the problem, whatever it was, seemed to have fixed itself once I installed PEP3.

I'm back to using PEP2 tho since pep3 is only in beta.

I'm still building my setup file to match my equipment. But progress is finally being made.

I just made the purchase of the larger panel unit from AU-eBay. Cost me about $400 UDS but now I also have a tsu 9800 unit. Seems like it was brand new old stock. The shipping speed was insanely good too. Got it to my house in less than 7 days.

My home theater system is not overloaded with devices. It's a nice quality system.

Marantz AV7720mkii pre-pro - most IR codes work well, some are fussy.
Adcom 2535 4 channel external amps (no control needed).
Apple TV4k - found hex codes here that seem to be working on it.
Panosonicc UDH UB820 - found hex codes here that seem to be working on it.
PS3 - just need to flip to that HDMI in. all other controllers via rf controller.
KDLinks media streamer - finally got all the codes to learn in black instead of blue. Looking for discreet power on and off but toggle works for now.
Bluetooth - got the Marantz IR code working on the pronto pro.
LGTV - most codes found here are working. Ill manually add the missing ones.

Loving that I can add Marantz sound buttons into my other pages for direct access to buttons like 'stereo" "doby" 'DTS" EQ, etc.

I also have a 9400 RF unit. I'll figure that out after I get everything else debugged.

Once I'm happy, Id love for you to go over my code to suggest improvements.

9400 unit only supports beeps, not sounds AFAIK.

The 9800 display is the same resolution as the 9600 display (640x480) but a bit larger and has 2 extra hard buttons.
