Good guy and everything and sad that he died so young. Not sure why people thought his drumming was so great. I would agree that his fills are fast but I've always found his playing to be very "straight". Don't know how else to describe it - I would just say straight or predictable or very structured. I've never seen him do anything complex or unpredictable or soulful. Just take a look at the Guitar Centre drum off finalist videos on Youtube. I can't imagine Neil Peart playing anywhere as good as these guys.
