This is the only way to do it without getting screwed by California Closets(no way they have anything that will support a SRSR). We've been in this same situation using a SRSR, but a different closet company.

Got our carpenter to build a shelf in the desired spot for the SRSR since the guy knows how to build a shelf that would support the weight of the SRSR rack plus gear. Then the closet guys came in and did their thing around the already installed rack.

Closet installation peoples aren't the brightest bunch, and there's no way I would trust their shelf building ability knowing if the rack crashed the liability would be ours.
