Sorry to say, the performance just isn't good enough: after a few metres distance it's hit and miss. I think it's the Pronto (TSU7000-433.92MHz) that's to blame, because I have a few different Philips RF-to-IR blasters I played with in the past and they showed the same behavior. You had to tweak the antenna position of the blaster (who wants that in sight...?) to have at best an erratic reception.
I have an SBC RU990 (=TSU7500 EUR) coming, have a faint hope that it will perform better than the converted TSU7000. And just maybe they soaped up RF on the newer TSU7500...
