Also, as odd as it sounds, I *have* experienced issues with certain codes going through RF. For example, I have an MCE system that works very poorly through URC RF - if you tap the button, the MCE senses like 2 or 3 button pushes. It's fine via direct IR, and isn't an issue with the exact same codes on another MCE system I have.
The only solution was to disable repeats and select a very specific number of iterations. Now it's actually possible to navigate, but it's still awkward as holding down a key is no longer possible.
what if you created a press and hold macro? less than 1 second = no repeats, after 1 second = repeats. that is what you have to do with an MSC400 and RS232 anyway, might work in this case too.
