I'm sure we can make either remote work, but we need a clearer idea of what you're trying to do, and what doesn't work.

What setup code are you using?  Do get the TV signal from air or from cable/satellite provider?

Do you mean that the pressing input brings up a menu that lists the various inputs, but that you can't use the cursor keys to highlight one of the items in the list?  Or you can highlight an item, but the OK or Select button doesn't switch the inputs?  

If you have the original RCA remote, how does you change inputs using it?

Basically, if you can describe how the TV is supposed to work, we'll be able to make the remote send the correct signals.
