Got my 2 from shelters also...the black one we got first, he was left there tied to the shelter fence after hours and was there all night until next morning when shelter workers arrived. He has had separation issues ever since. He has chewed all the moldings in our house and chewed through a sheetrock wall and a wooden door. The brown one's issue is she is scared of thunderstorms, to the point she hops in bed with us (shes 70 lbs) and tries to lay on top of you.
All of that doesn't matter when you realize the quality of life I / you have given these dogs. Way to go.....
