Just picked this up at Darkhorizons.com.
Spielberg on DVD: Dawson-esque fans of Steven Spielberg will be very happy to hear about a report printed in the DVD Journal. At the recent Smithsonian Awards, a reader of the page manage to pump the legendary director for info regarding when all his movies will be available on DVD. Spielberg is being cautious it seems, waiting for at least three million player units to sell before many of his films will start committing to DVD. That figure is expected to be reached by the end of the year, so it'll be around early 2000 that we'll hopefully see some of his movies transferred. Thanks to 'Alexandra'.
Looks like will be waiting a little longer. But Steven along with George Lucas are slaves to marketing, so Christmas '99 is a better bet.
