The DVD player I got, a Sony, came with a decoder card. On the card it has s-video, and regular RCA jack outputs. If yours only came with software decodeing, you might try to see if you can get a decoder card for it. That has a double benifet. 1. You can get s-video, or RCA out. And,
2. It helps take the strain off of the computer CPU.
