I have found some threads on this but no solutions.

I'm setting up a new Pronto system for the first time. I downloaded the latest PEP 2.4.x from Philips area. Install goes fine.

Vista - plug in control panel and I get unrecognized USB device and of course PEP will not connect with HID error. I have tried everything including the laptop standalone running on battery but no go.

Windows 7 - after an hour plus with Vista, in desperation, I plugged into my Win 7 laptop and the USB install begins fine. But, I had not preinstalled PEP so the installation would not complete. Now with PEP installed on Win 7 the USB installationg will not restart. I have tried finding and deleting the USB device but no luck.

Any help with either OS is appreciated. It's long weekend and I have a lot of work to do.

Level II cert not much good when you can get to first base :(

Thank you
