i use unraid at home/office for data / photo / music / bluray rips. it is really flexible i have 6x2TB right now ( mostly for the bd rips ) , but can expand to 16 drives.
in my server case.
for customers i would use Qnap 259 ( 2 drives raid ) and up. ( atom dual core 1.6 ) They are fast and reliable and run squeezebox server and lots of other cool stuff
