A few people don't like handheld controllers because they are afraid that the controller will become lost in the cracks. Everyone else wants the controller in their hand.

From the looks of the thing, I would need separate programs in a mixed system. For the customer, interaction between the two types of controllers will be different. The TSW9500 will not be much of a hit for my customers.

I think that the TSW9500 is an attempt to win more traditional installers, perhaps the alarm guys, who are fixated on the four or five button inwall keypad. Judging by the number of four to six zone everything packaged in one box systems out there, this must be the bulk of the market. Or, Philips thinks that there is a replacement market. In any casse, it's not my niche.
