Can't you connect the tuner to the Netstream and then have the Pronto talk to the Netstreams subsystem over IP - would require Netstream to have an open Protocol.

I am doing something very similar where I have my projector connected to a CBUS network and issue commands to that which are translated on the CBUS layer.
