Review:I bought this remote and am very satisfied with it. I have my dvd and satelite receiver in the living room and have a cable running into the bedroom and the garage. I am now able to change channels and operate some of the basic dvd functions while lying in bed. Due to the lack of functions on this remote for dvd use I wonder if I could use another brand r/f remote with this i/r r/f receiver. Considering I only paid $20Cdn. on clearance I surely can't complain.

Weaknesses:DOA and can't get support/ warr.
Review:I cannot get it to work. Beleive the IR "dongle" used to IR broadcast RF is bad. I cannot get response from zenith. It's like they deny ever making the thing... no mention on their website! The remote and rcvr talk RF, you can see an LED indicating communication when the IR is blocked. But I can't get it to control my satellite, like the other reviewer... but mine is a Hughes "premium" unit for Direct TV.

Review:Product works ok with most of my devices on an IR basis, (although the list of supported devices is a bit lacking) but the big problem is that it does NOT work with my General Instrument digital cable box when using the RF mode... which is what i really need.

No response from the support line in any way to solve the problem after repeated attemps on my part. The product has become a throw-away for me.

Strengths:RF Strength.
Handles 7 devices.
Compact size.
Weaknesses:No macros.
Review:After my venerable Houston Satellite Systems "Mastermind" died, I have tried a number of RF remotes with disappointing results... until this unit. This is a well designed system that performs very well. The only thing lacking is the ability to program the remote to control various devices without specifically selecting each device as with the Home Producer 8. However, the exceptionally high RF strength and the lack of spurious emmisions make this a far superior remote. Very satisfied!
