I am looking to replace my Harmony 628 now that they no longer support tv listings. (It was my favorite feature)

I require a remote that will display updated tv guide listings on the remote (in Canada). I haven't had much luck searching for remotes and filtering based on this feature.

I have found the Philips RC9800i which sounds cool. I think I'd rather a single hand setup though.

My only real requirement is the tv guide thing, and ability to control TV,DVD,receiver. The idea of having the listings automatically updated via WiFi or bluetooth is enticing.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Attention Site Administrators:

Would it be possible add the "built-in TV guide" as a selection criteria in the clicker picker? According to the "about" page, it sounds like you have this criteria in your database.

That feature would REALLY help me out. I am struggling to find which remotes support the built-in TV guide feature.

From reading other people's posts, it sounds like I'm in the minority of people that actually find this feature useful, but I honestly used it ALL the time with my 628.

I havn't herd of any remotes like that here, but with pronto's and other customizable remotes, you can make a tv guide, but then it would require you to update it. Although there is the Pronto TSU9600 WiFi remote coming out, that might be able to do what you want.

Maybe I didn't explain myself very well. Because the Philips RC9800i does what I want, almost all of the Harmony products did what I want (the feature was cancelled a couple of weeks ago), and there is another remote that looks like a big ugly "T" that has the tv guide.

I was looking for more options, but the longer I think about it, the more I like the RC9800i. I did a test by creating an EPG account and it looks like I can get my local (Canadian) channel listings so that's good. Since it's not sold in Canada, I'm now looking for a US E-tailer or possibly a physical store that stocks it in Las Vegas (I'll be there at X-mas).

Ok, but you do know it's cheaper than most remotes, since there is no pc programming software. That is the only fault in it in my opinion. If it had a programming software it would be a GREAT remote.
