I have a Philips dvp5960 and I don't know anything about buying a universal remote. How can I be sure which universal remotes work with my player?

If your Philips DVD player has IR capabilities, any LEARNING remote will work.

If you state more about your situation we will be able to assist more.

What other equipment do you have?

Do you want push button control? Macros? Or are you talking more abour RaDIO sHACK STUFF?

Is your equipment behind doors?
