Well the MX-3000 finally broke and they want $280 to fix it (PC board), and it needs a new battery ($45). So Rather than repair it (its an older revision) i want to replace it. Had a TSU3000 before that. Want to get something color again, but not spend a ton of money. Either i will go for a $200ish temporary replacement (Harmony 890, MX-700) or get something better (nevo SL, TSU7500).
My equipment includes:
Sony STRDE-985 reciever
Replay TV 5040
Sci Atlanta 4300 HD cable box
Sony 50" HD TV
Samsung 849 DVD
Lutron Maestro dimmers

Lots of switching on the tv and reciever to go from replay to cable box. What do you guys think?

$325 to replace a board and battery is a lot when you first look at it, but it’s cheaper than buying a brand new Control System. The MX-700 is discontinued; it’s now the 650 or 850. The 850 is probably going to cost you more than replacing the board on the MX3000. You should find out from URC if you send back the remote if they can update everything else.
Plus all of your programming is done.

They wanted $550 to "upgrade" to a new 3000. Not a great deal.
