I am setting up a new a/v system in my home. I am looking to put all components in a closet. I have absolutely no idea how to control these components. I will only have a cable box, a new Bose dvd/audio receiver, and a dvd/vcr combo. What type of remote do I need to work through the walls? How will the control work? Thank you for your help.

Don't buy the Bose. It'll be a pain to control and they sound like junk.

You'll need RF...check out the MX-850, MX-900, MX-950, or MX-3000 from URC as well as the Harmony 890.

Do not buy Bose. Listen to OTAHD. If you already did, sell it on ebay and buy some real components. If you need help in choosing some components, post in this forum. You will not find better advise anywhere.

Lucky for me, I guess, I have not bought the Bose yet. What do you recommend? I am looking for a 3 speaker system or wireless b/c this is going on a milled floor w/ finished basement below so running wire would be very difficult.

No way to run speaker wire behind any baseboard via a rabbet cut? Just a thought.

Here is the best deal in town for very high quality speakers but don't take my word for it just read the reviews.
