[EDIT 4] Ended up getting a Nevo C2. A few niggles aside, it is a worthy replacement, especially for $25 NiB. I'm not married to it, so if you have better ideas, read on.

Wow, glad you guys are still around. Thought I had an account, but can't find my info, besides, it would have been almost 10 year ago, so no great loss there.

Anyway, my trusty old HK TC 30 is finally requiring more strength than I can muster to push a button or two, plus paint has rubbed off... Let's just say it's not pretty any more. So I'm in the market for a new universal remote.

What I liked about the TC 30:
Could use with one hand
Lots of hard buttons
"Soft" hard buttons (the ones whose labels change via the LCD screen)
Macros
Not more expensive than most of my components

What I didn't like about it:
Programming it via mactc30.com (but if that's still the way, I'll get by. **I also have a PC, so not limited by Mac compatibility**)
The D pad was a little too small, so when I wanted to go up, sometimes I'd click L or R by accident.
The flush Vol and Channel buttons

What I'm controlling, in order of frequency of use:
Onkyo receiver
Samsung TV
ATV
PS3 via IR4PS3
Sirius
Frigidaire AC
Oppo DVD player
Sony VCR
Aiwa Cassette deck

Yep, no cable, and honestly, I use the last two items so infrequently, if it will get me a better remote, I can lose them no problem, although I would like a little room to grow if possible.

Oh, and I'd say I'd prefer to keep it well under $200, unless there is a compelling reason not to.

Thanks for any replies!

[EDIT] IIRC, even if I were to find another TC 30, I wouldn't be able to program it. Is that correct?

[EDIT 2] The Clicker Picker put an AR Xsight Touch ARRX18G at the top of my list of wants, but frankly I think I'd rather have the Color ARRX15G to get the "soft" hard buttons. Kinda bummed it only has 6 vs. the HK's eight, but I can deal. Is there anything much worse about the AR that someone coming from an HK would hate? (meaning me)

[EDIT 3] Hoo boy. Is the Nevo C2 the same thing as the ARRX15G? Seeing it really cheap on line. Can't seem to find a working link to the config software. That why? Or can it be programmed with EZ RC like the AR model it resembles?
