Hi,
I have both a $200 Best Buy and a $200 Crutchfield gift card. Anything under $200 that is a good choice for a learning remote? I looked at the $100 Logitech and have heard good things about it but can spend more. All I ask is that it lights up, has excellent sensitivity (I'm doing a bounce off the wall thing) and can learn from my existing 8 remotes I have on the coffee table (I don't ask for much!). Equipment Brands on the shelf include Sony, Rotel, Toshiba, California Audio Labs, Dynaco and a Motorola Comcast box.

Don't even need macros.....

All that you're going to get at Best Buy is a Harmony. I'm not sure about Crutchfield.

If you don't even need macros, any Harmony will do them anyway. It will be plenty for your requirements.

No, they're much worse. They may suffice for what you want to do, but offer very low customization, and even worse, low reliability. The cheapest Harmony will be better than one of those, in my opinion.
