It's time to replace my Logitech 890, bought the 900 and had Magnolia/Best Buy come out to install. They said I would be better served with a different remote that would allow for more than one Zone.

I have two receivers at the moment. Receiver 1 runs all of the equipment (cable, apple tv, blue ray, cd player, TV) and the old receiver 2 was used to run a secondary zone of speakers. Right now, I access this through the remote by turning on Zone 2 and selecting what I'd like to listen to. For some reason, the installer didn't think that the 900 would do that. Is that true? If so, which remote should I be looking at in a similar class? Will I have to scrap the RF station, or can it be used for a different branded remote? The BestBuy guy suggested the MX 450.

Thanks for your advice!

All your equipment is in the same location? And the receivers aren't the same model? It might not be the most elegant solution, but it should probably still work.

Yes, All equipment is in the same location inside of a cabinet. The receivers are not the same model or make. Is there a difference between a remote that handles say 20 devices and a remote that handles 10 devices and can handle two zones? I am trying to figure out if there is something to this multizone thing that I need to buy, or if I am being duped into trying to buy more than I need.
