The Insignia WBRDVD uses NEC1 IR protocol, device 133.237. This is an unusual set of IR codes.

One approach would be to buy a Harmony. The 300 is fairly inexpensive if you find it on sale.

A second approach would be a RCA RCRP05B ($15-20 at Best Buy, Sears, Walgreens)
You would need to customize setup code Audio 1609, by entering 5 digit EFCs to define each Insignia function. We can tell you how to do that.

I have the RCRP05B and i'm trying to program it for an Insignia NS-WBRDVD2.
What are the EFCs that I need and how do i enter them? Would it be easier to do from a pc? i don't have a 6hole cable yet but can get one. thanks.

You're going to base your modifications on Audi 1609.  Either decide to use the Audio device button to control the WBRDVD, or change the type of the DVD device button to be Audio, using the 992 command.  9XX command instructions.

Once Audio 1609 is assigned to Audio or to the re-purposed DVD button, use the 994 commands (single device mode) to assign the following EFCs to buttons.  You'll probably not want to use every function listed.

Also check out the 973 and 993 commands for channel lock and Volume punch through.  The instructions provided with the RCRP05B are wrong (unless they were recently revised).
