I recently got a Pioneer VSX D608 when trading for an older Onkyo tube amp that I had. The problem is that the guy I traded with didn't have a remote for it. I've checked around online and I can't seem to find the OEM remote, so is there a universal remote that anyone can recommend for this reciever?

There are two of the pioneer oem remotes for sale, I suggest getting in touch with them to set up auction for lone vsx-cu134. Not to buy it off ebay, that against the rules.

Would the vsx-cu134 be compatible with the VSX D608?

You have options besides the OEM remote (which will of course have the best correspondence of button names to functions) and the Harmony.
Almost any UEI manufactured remote will work. Functions like Power, Vol+/- and Inputs mapped to the digit keys will control the receiver immediately. Arrow keys and some others would require a few minutes of entering in EFCs to assign the function to a button.
