Newbies are reviled for asking without first searching... but I DID search but found no hits!

Ordinarily I'm a whiz with remote controls, but I've had DISH network's remote for a month now and I'm very frustrated: I need an aftermarket/universal remote or I'm gonna lose it!

I use this DVR to timeshift *everything* and I love to FF and slo-mo but the DISH remote buttons are arranged counter-intuitively and I am ready to trade up if only to avoid the need to turn the room lights on every time I want to FF commercials or watch my favorite MMA athletes in slo-mo.

So I seek a remote that is:

1) Compatible with DISH's ViP722 DVR (IRD) keymap and the 57kHz IR band that they use.

2) Better user-friendliness and legibility than the stock DISH IR remote:

Backlighting (or at least fluorescent) buttons would be great, but gees just the standard arrangement of playback buttons that we've all been using since 1968 or so, right through VCRs and still current: reverse on the left, then pause/stop, then play, then FF. DISH has this in a zigzag that I just cannot master by touch alone!

Any idea?

Thanks!
