I have a Philips Pronto RU950 which I like as I can spend hours configuring it, and at times I dislike for precisely the same reason. It controls a elderly Panasonic Plasma, Denon 3805 amp, Sky+HD, Toshiba DVD, Playstation 2, Sony Video Camera, Varilight switches for room lighting and has back up codes for my classic car ir remote locking! It has plenty of macros for Play DVD etc where it adjusts everything to work, including adjusting volume as TV is much louder than DVD.

Anyway, it's dying and I don't know what to replace it with. I've read loads of the reviews and simply confused myself. Budget is not the end of the world, say £2-300. Any ideas would be most welcome please.

Well one could be silly and spend £200 on one of these, or save a few pennies and buy one of these (review here). I'm using one (ex Pronto, Marantz and goodness knows what else) and I find it pretty good for the money.
