I'd like to get a universal remote for my husband, but I am totally clueless. I've done a bit of research and I think the Harmony 880 will work for him, but the technical terms are way over my head. I've listed our current equipment below, and we have everything locked up behind glass doors due to our 8-month old technophile. Any suggestions?

- Sirius satellite radio
- Onkyo receiver
- HD cable box
- Sharp Aquos LCD
- Sony DVD
- Playstation 2
- Possibly Wii for Christmas

Thanks!

Glass doors are penetrable by IR...so you don't need RF in that application. However, if it's behind any other type of doors that can't pass the signal through, you'll need RF.

URC's MX-700 (IR only) or MX-850 (RF and IR) are great remotes. The Harmony 880 (IR only) or 890 (RF and IR) will also work, and they have a color screen, if that's a factor. However, they're not as high quality as URC remotes.
