I am updating my media room with new equipment including a mitsubishi projector and either a marantz or yamaha av receiver along with samsung blue ray and directv. I have been quoted on a URC MX-880 is this a good remote for what I am controling? This is my first universal remote of any brand so this is all new to me. Please advise.

The MX-880 is nice. Its PC programmable and it looks like you are using products with discrete commands so you should have one button operation for all activities.
"Watch Blu-ray" should be able to initiate these commands
TV ON AV REC ON Blu-ray ON TV INPUT 1 (or whatever input is being used) AV REC INPUT DVD Blu-ray PLAY
Similar system macros should also be available for other sources.

URC is one of the most solid brands for universal remotes, and the MX-880 is a good model.

Plus, there is variable support which let's you bypass that 30 second projector warm up. With the use of variables you only need to wait 30 seconds when you press "Watch {name of activity}" once.
