I'm looking for a simple (i.e., very few buttons only!) learning-type remote control.

I have a custom built model of building that has an IR eye for activating lights, hydrolics, etc on the model. I'm looking to replace the existing remote (a typical 50 or so button version) with something very, very simple.

URC makes exactly the device I need ([Link: universal-remote.com]) but it can only be programmed for TV/cable/satellite based on their preconfigured settings-- not learning-type.

Help!

This is a fairly common question (you can try a forum search - probably here and the General Consumer Remotes forum)... unfortunantly, I don't think it has a satisfying answer as no one has addressed this need. The smallest learning remote is this [Link: casio.com] and the next smallest is probably a Weemote DV.
