I am looking for a remote with macros to replace an old Harmony 520. Here is a list of my equipment.

Panasonic plasma
Yamaha AV receiver
LG bluray
Toshiba hd-dvd
Xbox 360
AT&T Uverse HD DVR
Wii
home theater pc

I like the activities function the Harmony has but the URC has the same so the main thing I am looking for is which remote would be the less laggy of the two. My current 520 is very laggy and the buttons require me to press them hard for the remote to register.

You just answered your own question.
"You can't fix stupid."

I just don't know if the 700 or One are faster than the one I have considering it is a pretty old model.

Go with the R50 if you want a reliable remote.

The Harmony will be more "automated" in terms of activities - ie. it generally knows what's already on and so forth, and the computer configuration does allow for some conveniences such as access to a large code database, discrete codes, etc.

That said, the R50 is a more "meat and potatoes" type remote, and in the end is more versatile where it counts. For myself, between the two, I would want the R50.

Incidentally, a lot of the lag on your Harmony is probably due to the way you have (or haven't) configured device timings. The default values used by Logitech are stupid slow, and make the remote feel like getting up and pushing buttons on the actual equipment would sometimes be faster. I covered this in my review of the 1000, which you may want to check out for that section (remember, ALL Harmonys program the same).
