Hi,

i am from Germany and my english is not very good (i am sorry for that).
I Hope that you can understand what i am asking for.

I search for an Universal Remote Control to use with

1) Revox B225 CD Player
2) Revox B150 Amplifier

and if possible

3) support for 4 additional devices would be nice.
[Edit]
this means that it would be nice if the remote could control total of 6 devices
[/Edit]

hope someone out there can help me.

best regards
Benjamin Linus

Universal Remote Control shows a Revox B260 code in their library. Most likely it will work with your model. The do not show the CD player, but that could be learned into their remote.

Hi JoeFlabitz,

Thank you for answering me.
I found out, that "Universal Remote Control" is a Company which sells many different Universal Remotes.

Which ones do you suggest i should buy?

I like the Digital R50. Is it possible to control my devices with the Digital R50 ?

Thanks for all your help again.

With nice greetings
Benjamin Linus

The B150 and B225 are listed at hifi-remote.com in the File Section. The IR protocol that Revox used is unusual, so it is not typically built into remotes. Furthermore, the B225 was made in 2 versions, which use different protocols. So it will be difficult to get a universal remote and use a setup code.

You should probably plan on learning these IR signals into a universal remote.

If you don't have the orginal remotes, it is possible to use the information at hifi-remote to program the remotes made by Universal Electronics (typically sold as One For All in Europe) to control your specific Revox models. However, these are not touch screen remotes like the R50. In the US, the cost is about $20 for the remote, and $35 for the cable to connect the remote to a PC.

The URC R50 is a consumer-based remote and does have the Revox B260 codeset in it's database. As 3FG indicated, you can learn from the factory remote. Just to be clear, the Digital R50 is sold by Universal Remote Control (URC), and not Universal Electronics Inc. (UEI). MSRP for the R50 in US $ is $149.95 and it does not connect to the PC.

The Revox B260 is a Tuner, the B150 is an amplifier, and the B225 is a CD player. They all use the Revox protocol, but have different device addresses. The B225 used two different addressing schemes, depending on when it was manufactured.

So I wonder if a R50 setup code can handle each of these possibilities. That's why I think it is best if the IR signals can be learned.
