I need help with purchasing a universal remote. My components are open to the room, but are recessed in the left wall in the corner. All remotes work at all seating areas except the Onkyo txsr707 receiver. It will not work at the best place to sit for my home theatre. If I lean forward, i can get it to work. I have moved the receiver around on its shelf and it does not help.

My question is: Should I buy a universal remote with rf support because of this problem? Or can i get a harmony One because it might have greater distance and not need the rf since the components are not hidden?

Are there any other remotes that are easily programmed by myself such as the Harmony line?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!
