This post is dangerously misleading. Radio Frequency is what it is - a frequency. It sounds like this user has a problem in him home. I have programmed hundreds of MX-3000 remotes and have had very littel RF issues - especially since URC introduced the narrow band extenders.
As for Nevo, more of a wifi type of RF but the user would probably not have better luck using a laptop connected to a network from wherever he is using it.
Beware of posts like this - they don't seem like opnions they seem more like an attempt to belittle the company's products. There is very little information supplied by the user other than the damaging ones. I would like to hear about his schematics, if he tested the RF around the problem area, or what extender he is using with the MX-30000.

Hello.
I have an extremely high end theater in my house and wanted a great high tech remote to go along with it. I purchased a Nevo SL and then a MX3000. I found both remotes to be big mistakes.
The Nevo Sl remote is nothing more than an old fashion PDA made to look like a remote running microsoft PDA software and will have a very flaky WIFI connection. The connection is lost all the time( at least in my theater using trednet wireless router)
I was lucky enough to get the drivers and software for it but many people I have talked to do not have the drivers and the company is doing everything possible to prevent you from getting them. The sames goes for the MX3000, very weak and unreliable RF, the company will try to prevent you from getting the software and is very unconformable to use even if you do manage to get it working. The battery on the mx-3000 will only last me a few minutes tops and its more like something you would find on a remote control airplane and can't be replaced with any generic battery from the store or online. I think the company will send you one for like $60.
These remotes look cool and high tech however I think overall after using them for a few years, that they both are not worth it and a poor remote to work with and use. If I had to do it over, I would try something else( which looks like a actual remote not a star trek device) perhaps something from logitech.
