Hi, I am in need of a RF remote, but I have a few requirements. The remote must be RF, and also the issue is, is that I have 5 of the same exact DVR boxes that will all need to be controlled by the remote. Is there anyway to change the rf so that all the dvr b oxes won't change when I press a command on the remote? Basically I need one remote to control each device individually. Thanks in advance!

Obviously the remote needs to be RF and communicate with a capable processor or extender. I don't know what your budget is but I reccomend for my clients three categories of pricing for specific companies. URC might be the best option for you.

TOP Level
- MX-980 or MX-5000/6000
- MSC-400 or MRF-350

MID Level
- MX-880 or MX-900
- MRF-350

LOW Level
- MX 450
- MRF-350

Feel free to PM me with any questions.

I'm not really worried about price at this point. I just want to make sure before i purchase one of these remotes that i will be able to control 5 of the same boxes with one remote but only control them independently when i switch to that specific DVR box.

All three options will give you the ability to control 5 DVR boxes via IR Routing.

The remote communicates with the base station via RF. IR is passed thru the base station to the devices based on IR port assignment. So DVR 1 is connected to emitter 1.

Even though the same IR codes can operate all 5 boxes.. the routed IR emitter allows you to direct it to a specific box and not all of them.
